Don't stop was my first rave track, done at 'Tone Def's' studeo (the first group on the Moving Shadow label) and engineered by Roger from Tone Def.

I'd never been in a studeo before and did'nt know how to use samplers,cubase or a desk but had a good understanding of how samples were used to make a track so I dictated to Roger what to sample and loop up and how the arrangement would run.

I picked the amen brother break and got him to loop it at 146 bpm along with another break, funky nassu.Looped a bit of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, Rabbit City 4 EP and some synth noise from an old rave tune 'Visule Attack'.

Done on an Akai S950,Atari Cubase, 16 track desk.

Rush Higher was done in the same week after Don't Stop was finnished,the vocal is from Rhythm Section's 'I can take you higher' and the beats are 1 bar loops from Beltram's 'My Sound' (this kick loop always rocks and I've used it over and over) and the Cutter Mix by Rabbit City, both loops are used over each other.The piano sample is from 'Playing With Knives' by Bizzarre Inc and the Synth rift is from 'The Badman Presents'.

A few weeks after this got pressed up in May 1992 it got onto daytime Radio One as the first track in a Slipmatt mix much to the amazement of my friends.Roger who engineered it was over the moon after he heard it in a club with out even knowing it had been pressed and asked me to come round and do some more stuff.
